Lysle Kapp is an experienced litigator of complex matters involving toxic torts, product liability, automotive liability, and construction defect claims. Lysle has developed strength in motions practice throughout his more than fifteen years of litigation experience. Lysle attributes many of his positive results to the ability to identify key issues early in the life of a case. He has significantly reduced litigation costs for many of his clients by disposing of meritless cases through selective motions practice at the pleadings stage. Where a pleadings challenge does not appear to be dispositive, the early identification of issues has allowed Lysle to craft tailored written discovery and deposition examinations that aid in the early resolution of many of his cases through summary judgment motions or directed settlement negotiations. Lysle previously worked as an attorney at Becherer Kannett & Schweitzer.
Lysle is admitted both in California and his native state of Pennsylvania. He is also admitted in federal district courts located within both states. Following law school, Lysle served as a judicial law clerk for both the late, Honorable Thomas J. Terputac, S.J., and the Honorable John F. Bell, S.J., of the Courts of Common Pleas of Washington County Pennsylvania.
Over the past twenty years, Lysle has performed with a number of improvisational comedy troupes, including Zamfoo of Oakland, California, The Susquehanna Hat Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and The Whistling Shrimp of Ithaca, New York. Lysle is also an active member of his local church and a proud father of three.
