Throughout his entire career, David Borovsky has focused his legal practice on providing insurance companies with practical coverage advice, and representing them in litigation and trial. David has counseled and represented insurers in various lines of insurance, including general liability (commercial and personal lines), first party property, personal and commercial auto, trucking, and errors and omissions insurance. In the courtroom, he has represented insurance clients in lawsuits for declaratory relief, “bad faith”, and equitable contribution. David also has extensive experience assisting insurers in conducting examinations under oath to investigate coverage for various types of insurance claims. Prior to joining BHC, David worked in the San Francisco office of a large national law firm with an emphasis on insurance coverage, as well as the law firm of Becherer Kannett & Schweitzer.

David presents annual educational programs to insurance claim departments on various topics including California insurance regulations and significant developments in insurance law. David has presented national seminars and webinars to insurance professionals and attorneys on various topics specific to liability insurance, including the ethical and practical issues created by an insurer’s defense under a reservation of rights, an insurer’s rights and obligations when presented with late notice or delayed tender of a claim or suit, and what non-insurance attorneys must know about insurance to protect their clients and avoid professional errors. In addition to presenting various seminars to the San Francisco Bar Association, David has served as the chair of the Insurance Section of the BASF Barrister’s Club.
