Ira Goldberg is the resident partner of our Southern California – Pasadena office. Throughout his career, Ira has successfully litigated, managed and resolved a broad range of complex legal disputes.
Ira quickly identifies issues and cases amenable to resolution through pro-active, persistent negotiation when possible, or trial and appeal when necessary and prudent – always focused on the personal, economic, and institutional interests of his clients. A number of Ira’s cases have resulted in published and precedent-setting trial and appellate court opinions.
Ira has a reputation as a creative problem-solver, developing and executing effective strategies to obtain the best overall result for clients. He has represented insurers nationally in state and federal courts, resolving coverage and bad faith disputes, including single and complex multi-party actions in commercial liability, environmental, construction defect, directors and officers, personal injury, property damage and duty to defend liability coverage cases under primary, excess, first and third party policies. Ira also successfully represents clients in multi-party tort and contract actions.
Ira has negotiated and mediated hundreds of cases to successful resolution, gaining the trust of clients, parties, and opposing counsel through identification of parties’ underlying interests, authentic concern, and respect for those engaged in legal disputes. Ira previously worked as an attorney at Becherer Kannett & Schweitzer.
Among other positions and achievements, following law school, Ira served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Allen E. Broussard, Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court.
